The news for today is all about crab, lots of it. We are going to do a surf and turf dinner tonight. We picked up our pot this morning after breakfast and immediately had our limit with large male crabs.

We steam our crab with an Instapot. Three minutes does the trick. I do the steaming out on the back deck to keep the “crab smell” to a minimum inside the boat. We are off to Cleveland Passage tomorrow as we begin our long journey back home.

Were they king crabs? We had those on Kodiak Island and were amazed by their size.
