Meyers Chuck is a magical place. We loved it when we first visited it last summer and it is equally as captivating this time around. It is a tiny village of around 20 people. There is a 325 foot public, first come, first serve basis. We moored on the outside of the dock which is presently full. But you can moor on the other side of the dock as well. I took a depth reading today at mid low tide and it was 23 feet.
There are a couple of forest trails worth exploring. The longer of the two trails leads to the beach.

There is art and humorous signs scattered throughout the trails. The sign below reminded us of a similar sign at an “airport” in Kenya!

A main-stay of the village is the cinnamon bun lady, Cassy who delivers fresh warm buns around 7:00 am. They need to be ordered the night before and the minimum order is 8. We were able to split the order with a fellow boat on the dock. We did the same last summer as well.
We are planning on heading north towards Wrangell tomorrow assuming the wind and waves die down, which they are predicted to do.
