This is our final entry from the 2025 blog to Alaska and back. We left Ganges at 6:30 this morning and experienced a calm cruise with the current going for us most of the way. It wasn’t until we hit Guemes Channel that we had four knots going against us, which by the way was the most current against us over the past two months. I had to rev up the engine to stay steady so Marlene could catch this picture of our house as we went by. Back in our Marina we first fueled up. We made it all the way from Ketchikan to Anacortes on one tank of gas. The efficiency of single engine diesel engines is amazing. We are now back on Guemes Island. Tomorrow is a day of “man against nature” for me, cutting back all the summer foliage in our garden. It will take me most of the day. Beer will be involved.
Thanks to everyone who read our blog and made comments along the way. It makes us feel connected. Our goal has always been to stay honest, don’t just offer beautiful pictures, also offer the gritty detail which is reality in a cruise to Alaska.
Wishing everyone a wonderful summer.

Greg and marlena – I have followed along, sometimes a few days behind, but I have enjoyed your adventure. Glad you’re back home safe and sound and have a few days to rest before next jaunt.
It’s been fun to read your blog. Glad you made it back without mishap. Enjoy the sunshine now that you’re home.
