We made it around Cap Caution. Yea. We left Fury Cove at 5:30 this morning. There were two other boats in the harbor. From the beginning of our journey we had rolling 3 foot waves however the period was 13 seconds, very tolerable. The only issue is we needed to keep our eye on the horizon. Not a time to read or play games on one’s phone.
Once we rounded Egg Island it was a glassy ride the rest of the way in.

Blunden is a pretty, quiet harbor where you can sit on the back deck and watch the birds fly and the fish jump. There is only one other boat here in the harbor with us. Tomorrow we are off to Sullivan Bay. No need for an early out so we are going to SLEEP IN!! We have not been to Sullivan Bay since we first visited the Broughton’s almost 10 years ago in our first 32ft Nordic Tug. We have learned a lot since that trip, but bar none, the greatest addition to our boating experience has been having access to good, accurate and timely weather information through PredictWind and Bouy Weather thanks to StarLink. It is a game changer! We also want to thank Chris Parker and his team of meteorologists for their in-depth weather and sea conditions forecast for our major crossings. They have never failed us!
That sounds like the trip we want! Glad we signed up for Chris Parker’s service – I have learned so much through your blog. Thank you for taking the time to do it. Enjoy your sleep ins!
Debbie, glad you like the blog. We are now at Sullivan Bay. The last time we were here was nine years ago with our Nordic 32. Interesting place. Pretty slow right now. I think the weather has held back a lot of boaters.
