We left Pruth Bay this morning en route for ShearWater. Our heading was true north.
It was a pretty uneventful five hour cruise save for the ending. As we entered the bay we were greeted by none other than—wait for it—Mickey Mouse. That’s right Mickey and his thousands of friends. We could literally hear the joyous children’s cries through the hull of the cruise ship. Mickey was heading straight for us down the middle of the fairway. (Rule of thumb with boats: the bigger boat wins. We gave ground, pulled towards the shoreline and then headed back into the bay after the cruise ship passed by). Mickey left us a parting gift of a big wave slap. Not the space mountain ride, but one of those Disney water park rides.
We are now settled in for a couple of days, doing laundry, catching up on reading, checking the weather over the next week, and preparing for our next big hurdle, Dickson Entrance . For now though, just a nice relaxing place to be. It is 75 degrees and sunny which is predicted to continue though the time we are here.
I’m loving your interactive map. Fascinating to see where you’ve got to and what is going on around you.
