It was a pretty sunset last night in Meyer’s Chuck. The dock was full. It looked like it would be a very low tide in the morning so our plan was to leave around noon. However, when I got up this morning and checked the depth off the stern I had 22 feet. We decided to fire up the engine and head out. It ended up being a very good choice.

This was our view coming in to Wrangell. It was a six and a half hour easy cruise. We only pushed against the tide for the last 45 minutes.

We docked at Heritage Harbor, a working dock with a lot of fishing boats.

And eagles abound.

We are planning to cast off at 6:15 tomorrow for Petersburg. We can see on both AIS and here in the harbor that we will probably have quite a few other boats coming into Petersburg as well.
Petersburg?
That eagle was probably one of the 100 or so we saw in Bow this winter before it left with the rest for Alaska.
