Alaska Bound 2024

We left Sullivan Bay this morning at 6:30 and had a wonderful, glassy cruise to Lagoon Cove. Again, we have not been in this marina for 9 years!! Covid had a lot to do with this, so it is great to be back. A lot has changed since we were here. The property was sold, and the docks are greatly improved, but the general “vibe” of the place has not changed.

This picture really doesn’t do justice to how beautiful this area is.

Once we arrived it was time for a hike. We did the Blow Hole Trail to the water, about a 3 mile challenging hike complete with ropes.

We are now approaching 5:00 pm for happy hour. The Marina crew will be supplying fresh shrimp for all the marina guests. Everyone is also bringing a dish to share. For us, Falafel and Hummus. Tomorrow we have a six hour cruise to Blind Channel. The weather conditions down Johnstone Strait look very favorable (yea) and we have reservations at Blind Channel for Moorage and dinner at the RESTAURANT!! So exciting!
