This is a picture of Meyer’s Chuck Harbor at twilight. Two Nordhavns arrived around 5:00 pm. The dock was full and they were far too large so they both anchored out. We set our alarm for 6:00 am to look at the weather forecasts for cruising to Ketchikan either today or Wednesday. We would have preferred to stay one more night in Meyer’s Chuck, however after reviewing the weather report, it was clear that cruising today was the best option. So we said good bye to Meyer’s Chuck and headed out.

This is what the sea conditions looked like today, downright glassy water the entire way!

During our four hour cruise this was the largest boat we encountered along the way. Pretty quiet ride in.

We needed to fuel up. Our tanks were down to 50%. We are now full up and will be good for our journey home.

We are staying at the Ketchikan North Harbor for the next few days. Tom our mechanic will be on board Thursday or Friday to help on the Bow Thruster repair. In the meantime we are settled in. We picked up the Bow Thruster part we “believe” we need and then walked into town. Upon our return I washed the salt water off the boat with the help of the following jellyfish assisting with hull cleaning.

Glad you got smooth seas leaving Meyers Chuck. The day before sounded nasty and scary. Hope the bow thruster part is what you need.
